Marci Cohen

Marci Cohen is a retired music librarian. She worked in music libraries for more than 20 years,

most recently at Boston University as Head of the Music Library. She remains an active member

of the Music Library Association and served as editor of the association’s robust copyright

website. Prior to entering librarianship, Marci was an intellectual property paralegal and

popular music journalist. She guest lectures on copyright for the Simmons University music

librarianship course.

Marci earned a BS from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Library and Information

Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and an MA in Music from Tufts

University.
