Each year, the organization partners with educational institutions such as Roosevelt University, engaging college students and young music professionals across the city to provide 75 performances for four hospitals across Chicago. In conjunction of the 2016 Ear Taxi Festival, Sharing Notes created a Composition Competition inviting current students and alumni of the Chicago College of Performing Arts to propose a work designed specifically for young audience members at the La Rabida Children’s Hospital. We are proud to announce Parisa Sabet as the 2016 winner of the Sharing Notes Ear Taxi Festival Composition Competition. Parisa’s work will be premiered for patients at La Rabida Children’s as part of the Ear Taxi Festival celebration.
