"Two Hundred Years of Solitude - Doscientos años de soledad", is an electronic fable about solitude. Once upon a time, Gabriel García Márquez described a solitude that lasted a hundred years...The video for "Two Hundred Years..." was created to accompany the 2016 release of "Electro Parables/Electro Parábolas"(Pan y Rosas), a duo record by Volcano Radar (Elbio Barilari and Julia Miller). The images come from the 1930 Brazilian silent movie "Limite", directed by Mario Peixoto. The 8 channel surround remix of "Two Hundred Years..." received its world premiere in Montevideo, Uruguay in June 2016. This same multichannel version will receive its US premiere on the Ear Taxi festival in Chicago, supported collaboratively by the handmade amps and speakers of Ian Schneller (Specimen Products). Music composed and performed by Elbio Barilari (pocket trumpet, flugelhorn, muted cornet, electric viola & electric guitar) and Julia Miller (synth guitar & electric guitar) Recorded and mixed by Rollin Weary.
