Jonathon Kirk

Jonathon Kirk is a composer, sound artist, researcher and teacher based in Chicago. He has been in residence at the Logos Foundation in Gent Belgium (2000-2001), Petrified Forest National Park (2010), and his works have been performed or presented throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. He frequently collaborates with saxophonist Randall Hall, composer Thomas Smetryns and is a member of the Portable Acoustic Modification Laboratory with Lee Weisert. He is currently an assistant professor music composition and theory at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois and lives with his wife Joann Cho and sons Elaeth and Matthias in Forest Park, Illinois
