"25 years ago when I first came to Chicago from Switzerland, there was no new music scene to speak of in Chicago. You had maybe two or three groups trying to do something and no audience. Fast forward to today and we can all agree that the level of creativity and energy in Chicago's new music scene is tremendous. Composers, performers, audiences, venues have all come around to it, and Ear Taxi Festival exemplifies this new "now"".
